A Means of Transportation in Vietnam

A Means of Transportation in Vietnam

Recently, Vietnam has been chosen as one of the countries with the highest number of motorbikes, especially in big cities. Every second of the day, we can easily see hundreds of people of different ages riding a motorbike passing by. Hence, what are the reasons Vietnamese people use them so popularly? The answer lies under the amazing advantages of this type of transportation. Indeed, it is believed to have good adaptation to the any traffic and the diversity of types; however, it also causes bad effects to our life.

First of all, a motorbike is capable of adapting well to the Vietnamese urban traffic, showing how flexibly it can cooperate with the locals. Basically, unlike the huge clumsy cars, motorbikes are designed with moderate size and just suitable for a normal person to control properly. The saddle can comfortably fit at least two people and a seven-year-old child without making the driver stagger. The head of the motorbike is connected with the fore wheel and able to move independently of the remaining part. Hence, we can conveniently make a turn at any corners and even through any lanes. In addition, it is the combination of a bicycle and a car as it has a brake of a bicycle and a couple of rear-view mirrors with the throttle of a car. Moreover, speed of a motorbike is also considerable and absolutely appropriate for the city’s traffic conditions, frequently ranging from 0 to 120 kilometer per hour. Without much effort, we can drive with any velocity under the control of a speedometer; thus, we can easily check whether we drive lawfully or not. Despite the irregular tropical weather of Vietnam that causes flood to streets, motorbikes still have a long life-span and operate well after years. Therefore, this mean of transportation has become a good friend that is always by the citizen’s side.
Another important point is that motorbikes can express everyone’s fashion sense and be suitable for their driving ability by the variety of styles. Basically, this type of transport is divided into different kinds based on its cubic centimeter. The purpose of this classification is that the government wants to provide a vehicle for the sixteen to eighteen-year-old people since they are not allowed to ride motorbike. Hence, after the invention of lighter scooters, teenagers can go to school or go out with friends more conveniently. Furthermore, motorbikes are now designed with more colors and styles that we can have more choices. Most of them are initially made with black, white and claret color, which creates a luxurious look for people. After a long time developing in Vietnam, the motorbike manufactures provide residents many new samples that everybody would be interested. There are various choices of appearances for young people to show their youthfulness or for the employees to express their elegance. Therefore, people do not have to worry if their vehicle reduces their attractiveness. In addition, motorbikes in Vietnam can be economical or high-class, depending on the citizen’s financial standing. However, the quality of an economical one is still good and long-lasting despite its reasonable price. That is why many people in Vietnam choose motorbike as their long-term means of transport.

Nevertheless, using motorbikes causes bad effects to our health and the environment due to their total gas emission. Human health is now a major issue in the world that requires urgent solutions for the diseases caused by external reasons. Basically, air pollution contributes largely to this problem; thus, the total gas emission of motorbikes is one of the main causes. In addition to the lack of trees in the city, the amount of nitrogen oxide produced by these vehicles affects human respiratory system badly. As this mean of transport is too popular among the residents, people cannot avoid absorb the harmful gas during peak hours when traffic jam often occurs. Besides, this also contributes to the environmental pollution such as Global warming. It has created a great burden to all the trees in the cities as they are very few and have to filter such a huge quantity of gas. Compared to motorbikes, bicycles are always considered as environmental-friendly vehicles while cars do not make people take in polluting gas. Therefore, pollution and health problems are the current disadvantages of motorbikes, being the concern of many citizens.
Motorbikes are truly playing a significant role in the Vietnamese daily life since they provides people many important benefits. Not only do they make us easy to control well, but they are also full of choices that are suitable for every age and character. However, this mean of transport is now facing a problem of polluting the environment and causing diseases to human respiratory system. Therefore, there should be a further development on such vehicles in the future in order to solve these risks and make them be our best friends.
