She has written children’s T.V. scripts, such as Oswald, Little Bear, and the Emmy Nominated hit “Clarissa Explains It All”. In addition, she says, “I have been freelancing on a Nick Jr. show called Wow Wow Wubsy.” She has written many books like The Hunger Games, Shelby Woo, The Underland Chronicles, and more. This shows that with all this experience she has had a lot of practice and she is a first-class writer. This is important because students don’t want some boring speech form someone who has no idea of what they’re saying. Students want someone who knows how to write and some one who will catch the attention of various age groups. Obviously, Suzanne Collins has had a great deal of experience.

Without a doubt Suzanne Collins is the best-suited author to speak at Hubble next year because of her recognition. She has received recognition from the American library Association and Booklist. She’s also won a Cybil Award, in addition she has gotten comments from well known authors like Stephenie Meyer who said, “I was so obsessed with this book I had to take it with me to dinner and hide it under the edge of thr table so I wouldn’t have to stop reading. The story kept me up for several nights in a row, because even after I was finished, I just lay in bed wide awake thinking about it… The Hunger Games is amazing!” In fact Suzanne has even gotten comments from Stephen King. “The Hunger Games is a violent, jarring, speed-rap of a novel that generates nearly constant suspense… I couldn’t stop reading!” Stephen says. These are just a couple comments from some other illustrious authors. This is important because this means other exceptionally good authors like her writing.

Above all the reason Suzanne Collins should be the next author to visit Hubble Middle School is because of her powerful writing style. Somehow it just won’t seem sincere if I’m trying to slit his throat.” Also, “I’m smiling at you even though you’re aggravating me.” Her writing is amazing. She writes on serious topics but always seems to add some humor to lighten the mood. Not only does she have a sense of humor but she can be completely serious. For instance “You never forget the face of the person who is your last hope.” In addition readers lover her. Mrs. Paul says, “It was one of those books I couldn’t put down till I finished it. I read it all in one sitting. I’ve read it twice and I loved it both times.” Also “It was a very good book!” says Alayha. Her writing is everything you could imagine.
